why are you a christian? science pretty much disproves most of it, and does it not bother you that christians are some of the most hateful, hypocritical, judgmental, evil people? There were genocides have been founded on christian beliefs: the holocaust, and the majority of native american deaths toward the west by Catholics. "that's how i was raised" isn't really an excuse.
Point one: God’s grace can’t be proven with “science” because as the Bible talks about it’s our faith that shows that in the world. How can science make the WHOLE universe? Do you understand how big that is? I honest don’t think anyone does. Something bigger than science had to make it.
Point two: I’m not going to sugercoat it and say all Christians are nice and loving type of people in the world because the sad fact is a good bit are not. Not every Christian is that type of person though. They general care and love people no matter what which we as Christians should do a better job of because it’s people like you that proves the world of Christians as a whole is failing at what they are called to do and that is show God’s love to everyone. Everyone is a sinner and fails Him daily. "I’m not a Christian because I’m strong and have it all together. I’m a Christian because I’m weak and admit I need a Savior." - Lecrae My point is not all Christians are evil and hateful but as a world of Christians, we’re failing to show His love in everything we do and that’s why nonbelievers feel the way they do about Christians.
Point three: I was around a Christian family so yeah I’ll use the “That’s how I was raised” quote but as far as being really strong in my faith and getting closer to Him wasn’t really from that. That was more looking at my life in the past and saying I need to be on fire for God and show His love to people more. Why wouldn’t I want to show His love to others? It might end up saving someone’s life one day and I really hope I can do that for someone.
